Our Final Wedding Update!

We can hardly believe it ~ this is our FINAL newsletter before the big week! Looking back at our early vlog videos, it’s wild to see how much has shifted in our lives. This year has stretched us, grown us, and blessed us in ways we couldn’t have imaged. We’ve laughed, cried, learned and leaned on each other, and now ~ here we are ~ just weeks away from saying I Do Two 😉.

Welcome back to Josh & Jayna’s Journal! We’re so glad you’re here as we continue sharing this unfolding season with you, month by month, leading up to our wedding in Cabo. This edition is about being washed and make new, with some BLOOMS too. 🌵

🎬VLOG 9 is HERE!

A few sweet highlights. Our BAPTISM. We shared such a powerful and meaningful day being baptized together, and then hosting lunch and fellowship at our home with our friends and church family. Having that moment together felt like a fresh beginning, a deepening of our faith, and a deep knowing & trust in the truth God gives us. We also received our first FAITH-based art for our home gallery! (See picture as you scroll below to Santos).

Our cactus bloomed for the first time ever! Not just one bud but 5! We both thought, oh my goodness we are bearing fruit in the home 😀 tehe. It felt like a wink from above and that beauty shows up when you nurture and stay patient.

We had also been craving some skate time and so we carved out an evening to move & enjoy together. There’s something about skating together that makes us feel like kids again. And Josh did amazing, he is such a fast learner. Enjoy ⬇️

📱 Itinerary- You should have received an email from our team with the full DIGITAL itinerary. If it’s hiding in your inbox, this is your reminder to download it on your phone before you fly to Mexico.

💙 Colors- We’re keeping things light, playful and cohesive. Lean into our palette for the wedding. And be sure to bring something BLUE for our Welcome Party.

✈️ Airport Transfers - This applies to you if you are staying on resort. Once you arrive at San José del Cabo International Airport. After collecting your luggage, exit the terminal completely. You will see many transfer companies with sighs. Look for the ALL WAYS CABO TRANSPORTATION sign or ask one of the other vendors and they will point you in the right direction. You will then get transported to Sandos Finisterra!

🎁 Registry Philosophy- A few have reached out about this so we want to inform everyone. We’ve chosen not to do a traditional registry. Truly, your presence is the greatest gift. Though if you feel moved, we’d love your creativity, a small, thoughtful something or, even better, a card filled with your wisdom, advice, and encouragement for life and marriage. What’s worked for you? What do you treasure most? We’ll be collecting and keeping your words close to us as we begin this next chapter.

💡 Spotlight Series

The final 2 of the Cabo Crew.

My name is Santos Barbosa III, I am from Tucson, AZ. I currently live in Las Vegas, NV. I enjoy doing art and playing sound healing instruments because I’m wanting more peace and tranquility in my life. I know Josh and Jayna through a mutual friend, and since then our friendship has flourished! We are currently growing in our faith journey as we go to Church and fellowship together. I’m looking forward to celebrating Josh and Jayna always and forever.

Hello! I’m Jordan Handel, born & raised in North County San Diego, then uprooted to Northern California for college at Chico State. After graduating, I moved to Las Vegas in 2015 to dj & bartend. My DJ journey began in 2010, and my sound healing journey in 2020. The combination of these passions aligned my path with Brett Baughman, who hired me as the Sonic Guide at his 2023 Tulum retreat, where, I first met Josh!

There, by the fire while I was djing, he told me I was the coolest person he knew, I laughed and received glimpse into how truly genuine, humble, and full of life he is. That experience bonded us all, the following year Josh came to Mazatlan with a group of us for the Eclipse! Traveling and experiencing life with Josh has always been a treat, filled with love, laughter and sometimes a wild card or two.

Then shortly after Mazatlan he met Jayna and his whole life took a turn in a new, beautiful direction. I could immediately sense a change in his life direction, focus, and overall energy. On July 4th, 2024 I met Jayna for the first time and saw their newfound love connection in person and it was immediately obvious how powerful the connection was. She is a perfect match for him, energetic, personable, and driven.

Since then, it’s been a pleasure watching their love story blossom. I’m beyond grateful to call them both my close friends and continue to grow ever closer in union, faith, and friendship.

From Our Heart to Yours

More than anything, we want to say thank you. Thank you for loving us, supporting us, and traveling to be part of this celebration. We don’t take for granted the effort, energy, and heart it takes to show up. 🥰 

God’s timing is perfect, and your presence in our lives is part of that grace. We’re so excited to be all together in Cabo ~ celebrating love, life, and the joy of slowing down together with full hearts, relaxed minds, and sand between our toes.

A Note to YOU

We’re SO excited to see you, hug you, laugh with you, and dance with you under the Cabo sun and moon! The countdown is on ~ and the next time we write to you will maybe be November 8th ? 😏 

It’s been such a joy being able to share our newsletter each month, and an honor (and so much fun) planning this wedding. We can’t wait to share this with you.
